Wow, those angels have some interesting colors!

I've ordered a lot of fish from Wet Spot, always been happy with their stock and customer service.

Those look the same as the ones at my LFS. There was only one today, and last week their was 15-20. I considered buying him, but he was just so tiny! Good luck with yours!

Money Can't Buy Happiness, But It Can Buy Fish Which Is Pretty Much The Same Thing

Kind of hoping these guys have some Manacapuru in them???
I don't know jack about angels and these are not rare I don't think , soooo ????

Kind of thinking these are going to be one of those see what you get things.

I am really not the hugest angel fan as fish keeper, but its popularity makes it a simple choice for breeding.
This is good for me if they are not super common.
Otherwise????:ermm:

It could be a youth phenotype... If they were part manacapuru that would be amazing...

Even if they are common but have good genes I would think it'd still make them desirable. Somebody prolly will want them regardless really

Sini's my personal bucket lugger..er, I mean husband

Manacapuru mix with what you have, maybe?

Those are pretty Angels. My baby angel with a red cap ended up with a orange dorsal instead so I think the breeders were feeding color foods. Naturally Enhance the Color of Aquarium Fish | All Natural Pet Care Blog

The manacapuru was a shot in the dark(high hopes).
Still no real clue .....
I'll be lit if my LFS and wetspot sold this fish and it is modified without being noted(I asked, which how I got "Mike is pretty hardcore on fish quality".....).

Having my own doubts I felt the need to travel in a more known direction...
Added some friends to the red fin angels.....
6 of them actually!

^Possible male^
and proof my camera may make things look a little too red??

Well I still won't say what they are as they are in the guess this species thread...
THEY did however eat today..
They seem to really enjoy the leaf litter and caves in the middle of the 55.
Hoping to breed these for sure...

Going to get some black blasting sand today I think?
Want to give dem pistos a tank of their own???
What does everyone think?
The angels don't need /won't appreciate the water I am going to have these guys in soon...
All my reading says even softer water then the rams!
My caucs were NOT like this at all.
They did breed in my tap....
So far they are eating well with the angels as excellent little piggy examples!!!

I am thinking a 40b with some dithers if that would be better then the angels, which I think it would.
Pencil fish as dithers?????

Apistos look so cool they deserve a tank of their own..pencil fish as dithers sounds good

On the pisto/gbr front I am 'knee deep' in leaf litter in tanks and fish seem to love it!
I bought coconut fiber plant pot liners and have them soaking with new pots..
Do we think they are safe after soaking??

What kind of leaf litter? What are you soaking the coco in?

Pencilfish are neat looking fish.

For testing I use a couple cull dwarf shrimp. Don't have those though do you?

Fun fish, haven't owned them yet but have had my eye on them.

No pencil fish today...
When my LFS gets them usually it will be a couple different kinds.

I will wait to separate the pistos and angels longer on second thoughts...:nono:

Hey B I soaked my first batch of leaves(elm) in 1g of ro for a day or two and then pour the tannic/possibly contaminated water down the drain.
I did like a handful at a time.
I use a whole grocery bag of leaves so far!!!
I have a garbage can full of Maple next!!;)

Coco liners and pots are soaking in prepped tap.
I always worry about contamination of some 'cleaner' type chemical when purchasing from 'non pet stores',even feed places...:hide:

Better safe then sorry.
That is why I will keep the "new comers" together a little longer....
I still haven't even mixed Poppas or zerOs fish with any others.
No new mixes in bandit breeding residence in YEARS...
But I still have new fish!!!(y)

Couldn't find 'humic acid' today?
Got 50lbs fine/50lbs medium black blasting....
I'll have to visit a grow shop for the acid...
