Spirulina.. For Humans!?!

According to that site spirulina is the world's healtiest food for humans. Anyone know/hear about this?

Haha, that's the exact question that came to my head.
They actually make spirulina tablets and powder for humans now.

I even found a recipe for a spirulina smoothie:

1 cup apple juice
1/2 frozen banana
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
2 tsp. powder spirulina
Blend until smooth

Spirulina is all the rage as one of the "perfect" green foods. You can buy it at any health food store in pill form or you can load the dry powder in empty capsules yourself. I bought some recently in powder form not for me but for my snails. I made them some cool snail snacks.

Spirulina has been prominent in heath food stores for a good 10-15 years now....tastes like **** in any appreciable quantities, though.

My dad buys spirulina tablets from time to time..........don't know what it does though, but I've tasted some. And indeed, it does taste like ****....

It does, but I have had worse...as a smallish child, my mother got into a brief (about 18 month) fad where she though it good for me to feed me a great mucking kelp tablet each morning.
