Splitting up a MP3 file

Is there a way to take a larger mp3 file (like a concert) and break it up to smaller ones (individual songs)?

I'm sure there has to be some sort of (free) editing program out there that allows you to do it, but I can't find one

Thanks!

Have you looked on Download.com? They have practically everything (software) under the sun.

A little freeware app called CDEX will do this. Its a whole ripping/encoding utility, creates wavs, mp3, mp3 to wav...and you can select segments of a file/track by timecode.
Of course an entire concert decompressed to wav would be a couple gig, so make sure you have some space, and defrag before and after.
