spring cleaning

Does anyone get the itch to start deep cleaning at this time of year? So far I have cleaned out and organized all but two of my cabinets, and I am starting on the closets today. And I am going to break out the steamer and clean my carpets this week too. I don't know what it is about spring that makes me want everything shiny clean.

Meredith, if you're not busy next week....

I would chance a guess at it being genetic. Spring means new life and new beginnings. A thorough cleaning of everything provides this when nothing else is available.

I have an extensive shopping/chore list which begins this weekend.

Ok I caught the bug last week. Moved all the furniture in the dining room and living room. Rearranged the furniture in the living room, and thought I'll clean the carpets when I can open the windows. Surprisingly, the wife liked the new furniture arrangement.

Oh man, ok, so I'm not the only one that does this. The first nice day of the year every window in the house is open, sheers blowing in the wind. Then I break out the windex, Pledge, floor cleaners, furniture polish and go NUTS on the house. Just wish I had a steamer. Hmmm, christmas present.

Spring is my favorite time of year. It's not cold, but it's not hot. Today I am sitting in my office and wish that they would turn the [acronym:bdb47a7215="Activated Carbon"]AC[/acronym:bdb47a7215] on. Its burning up in here. Oh man. I love it when you use the heater at night and [acronym:bdb47a7215="Activated Carbon"]AC[/acronym:bdb47a7215] during the day. That's when you know that you are a true midwesterner.

sounds pretty familiar. Two weeks ago my wife and I started to "tidy" and 5 hours later the den and it's closet had been cleaned and re-arranged. Because of the furniture change we diecided to do our walk-in closet....

...by the time we realized we had gotten out of hand we had to make super cause it was like 8:30 or something.

As far as the windows go, I'm a sucker for fresh are and usually have one open just a crack to keep some fresh air coming in the place.

Yeah but we've had a lot of years lately where it goes from Winter straight to summer, being 80-90 degree weather. I'm hoping for a cool spring.
