starting maintenance on fish tank

No school is closed for Christmas break. Will be going in to do water changes and cleaning tge first day schoo is back in. Last check water was stabile so hopefully it wont be too bad after break. I hate the idea of those feeder blocks but thats what was used for the break. I am going to get an auto feeder for them for spring break and set it up for them.

I am goi g to pick up seeded material to get the QT tank set up in my house for them tomorrow. No substrate just filters so hopefully I can seed it well enough to only have a silent cycle.
I had someone donate $30 towards stocking and my local pet smart is running good sales on neons and Goldfish so I am going to look into them as soon as I make sure QT tank is stabile
