This used to be one of the best lfs in my area. This was the only tank I could take pictures of, but all of the tanks look like this. I know they are bad quality, sorry. Mind you- that is an iridescent shark (pangasius cat) in with a tattooed tetra, a bunch of dead platy and cories. All of the tanks are infested with black hair algae and they are all running off of the same canister. Their aquarium specialist quit because the owner started carrying tattooed fish.

I hate seeing this too! I have seen really good lfs go down hill badly when staff change, always a shame to see it

The saddest thing about it was the 'expert' left them with 2 55g long hospital tanks set up on a separate self monitoring system (I know because she used to give me biofilter/ biofloss from the showcase canister and would take a piece to put in the hospital tanks canister while she had it out) and they shut down the hospital tanks because they 'weren't doing anything' and placed a small 7g cube for a hospital/ qt tank on the same canister as their regular stock. They then ordered lots of 'designer' fish and brightly colored dwarf cichlids and 'freshwater' fahaka, green spotted, figure 8 and mbu puffers- no dwarf pea puffs, which makes no sense, along with the usual gold fish, danio, pleco, platy, guppy, tetra and 'sucker fish' with all the fish mentioned together in a bunch of 5-10g connected cubes.

I couldn't help myself though, I watched cichlids and puffers devour a few of the swarms of guppy fry, lol.

Always horrible too see. Its awful when lfs goes down hill when staff go. Such a shame.
