Technical term for fish poop??

The title says it all. I need a name for poop that sounds good and official but doesn't have the family crack up every time they read a thread. Something scientific sounding but with flair (I was thinking spicy but realised that may not help)..

+1. It's the most common use for the word in fish keeping.
Here's a quick definition: In biology, detritus (pronounced dee-try-tus) is dead particulate organic material (as opposed to dissolved organic material). It typically includes the bodies or fragments of dead organisms as well as fecal material. Detritus is typically colonized by communities of microorganisms which act to decompose (or remineralize) the material.
