TELL ME THIS WON'T HAPPEN TO US

An elderly Floridian called 911 on her cell phone to report that her Car has been broken into. She is hysterical as she explains her situation to the dispatcher: "They've stolen the stereo, the steering wheel, the brake pedal and even the accelerator!" she cried.

The dispatcher said, "Stay calm. An officer is on the way."

A few minutes later, the officer radios in. "Disregard." He says. "She got in the back seat by mistake."

i live in florida...it's not as unlikely a story as you might think. I lived in The Villages (Lady Lake) for several years. It is one of the largest reitrement communitie in the US. My next door neighbor was a cop and he had all sorts of stories like that........the SCARY part is that these people STILL have licenses to drive!!!

After spending 4 years working at Phillips Toyota in Leesburg Florida I can deffinantly say jennymit21 is correct. I cant remember how many times I had to fix the customer instead of the car because of senility. They did however keep our body shop full of work though. Oh, if you want to get at them just a little bit jennymit21 you can always correct them when they say where they live. After they say The Villages you can correct them by saying oh, you mean OBG. (PM Me if you want to know what means)

tbonem91 Im truly sorry. I hope they remain your step grandparents and dont turn into the crazy people of The Villages.

LWB I wish that was a cruel joke but in words, or very close too, of the marine biologist from the movie Jaws. "Now mayor take a look at that sign those proportions are correct."
