To all in Florida...

I know there's threads all over the forum about the hurricane, but I just wanted to let you guys know my wife and I (and my cat and my fish) are hoping the best for you and you are in our thoughts! Be safe and hurry up and let us know you're ok after the storm passes!

Just as soon as electricity allows, course I will be working if it gets us good, according the the NWS it should have lost enough power to only the a tropical storm when it gets close to us, and it should stay about 50-60 miles east of us anyway.

That's good to know. I was wondering when I saw the path on the news, that it was going right through central FL. So I will echo Shawmutt -- be safe and careful, everyone!

I think it's still too early to get worried. The projected path from the national weather service now has it coming almost directly over us, but it's liable to change by the end of the day.

Don't forget those in Georgia. Francis is suppose to go right up Florida and into GA, and though it'll be weaker by then, we're not nearly as prepared or used to such things. We usually manage to avoids these guys but only the lower third of the state really has any hurricane plans.

My wife is already worried, according to this morning its still suppose to be a Cat 1 by the time it gets up this way. Its a long time till monday though.

Here is a map with all the projected paths from different meterologists and computer tracking programs. It's pretty funny.
