Kinda creepy, but it did benefit a very worthwhile charity (Habitat for Humanity).

Besides, who wouldn't want to own a small piece of William Shatner - one that truly did "boldly go where no man has gone before".

At least it went to charity.

You know, if everyone movie star/actor/actress/rock star/etc donated $50,000-$100,000 to charities instead of just appearing at them... think of what it would be like =oP

I would bet most do if not for the tax deductions alone! Plus they all like to have that humanitarian reputation.
