Today is a special day for me - Aquarium Advice

I just wanted to share with you, my second family.

Today is November 12th and it marks both 1 year that Daniel and I have been in our house and 4 years of employment at my company.

I can't believe how far I have come in the 4 years I have been employed at my job. Soon after I started as the receptionist I got really sick and had to stay out for about 3 weeks. They were so good to me and they didn't fire me even though I was new and out for so long. I got out of a mentally abusive relationship and returned to work at only 80 lbs.!!!! I slowly got better and worked my weight back up (normal for me is around 95-100 lbs). A couple of months later (6 months after I started the job) I got promoted!!! I still work in the estimating department as their sole administrative assistant and I love it as much as I did the day I started.

Dec. of 2002 I met Daniel - a geeky and wacky guy that I fell in love with instantly. Nov. 12 of last year, a month before our 2 year anniversary, we purchased this house.

I feel so lucky/blessed/thankful for how far I have come in life in the last 4 years and how happy I am now - which also includes the discovery of AA in June of 2003!!! You guys are seriously a second family, a place where I always feel welcome.

Congrats Lori! This is indeed a special day. This is the day you abandoned the tri-state area for the uber-suburbs

Seriously, I'm glad you found happiness and wish you even more. And ReefRaff is right, and I'm am prepared for those two events
