Sorry guys but its been a week here so the new category is:
Top 10 fish that shouldn't be sold
1. Harlequin filefish
2. Iridescent shark
3. Red tail catfish
4. Clown knife fish
5. Nurse shark
6. Harlequin shrimp (inverts count)
7. Flamingo tongue snail
8. Aripima
9. Bala shark
10. Chinese algae eater

1. Clownfish because so many little munchkins just want their OWN Nemo, so their moms, who have not read any thing about the care and keeping of fish, go out and buy a one quart bowl, put in some table salt, and plop the fish in. This makes so many of them go to well-meaning people that just like them but don't know anything about fish.

2. Clown loaches. Self-explanatory.

3. Arapaimas

4. Sharks, period.

5. As much as it saddens me to say it, b-b-buhbahbuhbuh... B-babababa- BETTAS. Many of them go to owners who stick them in a vase with a lily or a "Betta Keeper". I know everyone here on AA and all other aquarium forums know the very least one should be kept in in a one gallon tank, but most non-fish lovers don't, and thus bettas are put in things only a tiny bit bigger than they were in at the pet store (betta breeders are a whole different story, they are good to their bettas, unlike Smetco and Flet Smart.)

1. Any knife fish

2. Blacktip/bull sharks

3. Piranhas (to many people think they will be easy care.

4. Glofish. I was at Wal-Mart the other day and when I was in the fish department. Some people were going to buy some glofish for there sons birthday because they looked cool. Then the were looking at bowls to put them in. They never bought it because of the expense.

5. Feeder fish as pets. In my lfs. They sell comets for 28¢ a piece. Ive know people to biy them and use them as party favors. Only sell them as feeders.

6. Common plecos. Too many people ghink they will stay cute, and eat poop.

7. Fiddler crabs. I all most bought one before I knew they needed to surface.

8. Bala Shark. They need huge tanks. From my experience, ive seen a 6.5" bala cramped in a 55. Not pretty.

9. Large gourmamies. These are usually cramped in a 10 gallon by a uneducated fish person.

10. Fish bowls. I know its not a fish but its so wrong it belongs here.
