Watching fish

No! It's not weird at all, you get a tank for a reason and that's pretty much to make it nice to look at. I do it too :)
 
I sit and watch my tank all the time. I especially did it a lot when I first set it up a few years ago.

It's pretty normal. In fact I'll have friends over and they will end up in the tank room just watching the fish. It's encouraged others to get in the hobby as well.

This happens all the time to me. I had a birthday party for my son and I couldn't find my nana! Found her watching my fish lol.
 
i once watched my bettas spawning for well over an hour.
i regularly watch my oscars playing and swimming together like an old married couple lol!
i often watch my africans, but mostly cos i love the colours and seeing what they are up to and if any are being bullied etc.

very normal, and a pleasure if you truly love your fish!

and lol about your nanna :)
