I was cleaning my freshwater tank hood and I noticed these little brown bugs. I don't have any snails in my tank and I really have no idea what they are, or if they're good for my fish tank. Help?

Sorry, the original post must not have properly uploaded the pic. Here it is again.

I'm not sure what it is by looking at the pic. Can you describe where they are located and how they move? Crawl, swim, dart, etc.

I took off my tank cover to clean it (mold and stuff from the fish food and condensation and when I got a papertowl to clean the edges on the tank cover and the rim around the tank (inside) I collected about 6 of these bugs of different sizes. They didn't crawl or move they acted stuck.

Hmmm...is it possible that the brown, non-mobile things you found at the rim of the tank are the pupae form of some type of fly?
