Well I was using the Olympus d560 ... while it was a great camera for the 3.2MP it was. I had a big problem with it blowing through batteries. It served it's purpose though! Would I recommend one ... no! Only because there are better cameras available now for around the same cost!

NOW ....

I just purchased a Kodak easy share z740 ... 5.0MP, 10 X zoom and the printer and docking station to go along! $399 at Staples! I haven't really figured it all out yet, but what I do like about this camera is the ability to use the manual mode ... being able to adjust F-stops and shutter speed is great!

Good luck and remember to shop around, there is always one place that has better prices!

I have a sony cybershot dsc p92. I used it for all the pics in my gallery. It's a decent cheap digital camera.

That's huge in my book. I'm and old school camera guy and never did like auto exposure features. Might check that one out.

austinsdad ... I used to shoot with an old Cannon AE1 and let me tell you some of the best picture I have ever taken were from that 35mm.

Had that and a Canon T70 once. Trusted the AE1 more.

I still have an old Mamiyaflex, 2 1/4 format (120 film), prism view finder. I used to do weeding and portraits with that thing. Awesomely manual.

P.S. - Reefrunner is our resident advisor on digital cameras and use as far as I know. Maybe he can help you further if you PM'd him.
