Can you convert that to American English?

not sure what "the birds" are and I guess your talking about having a fair amount of 'adult beverages' when you refer to a 'skinful'.

Bird = female, the phrase "the bird" tends to refer to one's girlfriend/partner/wife.

Exact definition in the Roger's Profanisaurus "An inanimate young woman. As in 'Phoar, is that your new bird? She's a bit of alright, ain't she. Fantastic t*ts'"

LMAO @ Minx and FishFreek, sorry FF mate, sometimes forget the board is 95% American.

Bird = girlfriend, Skinfull = drunk, far too much booze (lager) been drunk.
