which aquarium magazine is better?

my sister is doing one of those magazine drives, and they offer two aquarium magazines:
Aquarium Fish Magazine-$15 (12 issues)
Freshwater and Marine Aquarium- $16 (12 issues)

if anyone has ordered or read any of these before, give me your input. i know there are other ones (TFM i believe), but chances are i'll probably get one of these for the magazine drive.

if you've read and liked other fish magazines, let us know.

i'd like to start a sw tank eventually, but i dont want a magazine biased towards sw, but then again i dunno if i'd want a fw only magazine. let me know, thanks

AFM is pretty good, has FW and SW stuff. I got my subscription from ebay... really cheap... $8 I think. I don't know about the other mag.

AFM is alright. I personally think some of their articles are a little juvenile. FAMA is supposedly a little more advanced. If I was to get one of the other, I'd get FAMA. Then pick up a copy of TFH and be blown away.

I'd have to agree Tropical Fish Hobbyist is the best. The magazine always comes nice and thick with beautiful pictures and great articles. Very professional and very well put together. The others are okay but if I was going to only subscribe to one it would definitely be TFH. When TFH comes in the mail my husband says "Your fish p*rn is here!" 8O

Well I write stuff for FAMA so I am a little partial to their mag but I think that both FAMA and TFH are the two best hobbyist magazines out there.

I have one copy of AFM, the goldfish special, and I have to agree that the articles are very juvinile. Seems to be a mostly beginner mag and out of 100+ pages there were all of 5 actual articles.
