This is my 10 gallon. Stocked with four different types of anubias and two different types of Java fern. Dwarf sag is planted at ground level. The hood was dismantled and spray-painted flat white and reassembled and running two 13 watt 6500k spiral cfls. There is a piece of acrylic cut to fit entirely over the opening of the tank, hopefully to diffuse light and prevent a quick rate of evaporation. I'm really trying to make it as low tech as allowed.

Pictures are from initial setup to today, when I added three Amano shrimp and an otocinclus.

With that amount of light, you could stand to benefit from adding a liquid carbon supplement like Seachem Excel to the mix, in addition to a good liquid fert.

Well as of last night, my ten gallon sprung a leak. I was awoken at around two with the bad news. I was slowly increasing excel doses and it was benefiting. With the addition of some small stem plant cuttings and pps pro dosing, it was really starting to shape up. I have a spare ten that I'm now setting up. It'll have most of the same flora and the same lighting, but it will be differently scaped. Stay tuned for more! :)

The last photo of the tank before "the mess" happened. A week or so old.

This is the new setup. I went with stem plants that will bend for the light to hopefully cover the anubias rock. I also dirted the tank so excuse the current cloudiness. Constructive criticism welcome.

Dirt's working great. Still dosing 5ml of excel daily and I'm loving it.

Loving the dirt! I wish all my tanks were this easy and red.

Wow alot of new growth...

Well I'm kinda cheating. Im bringing in Staurogyne repens and mermaid weed cutting as they out grow my 55 design. Once I fill it up I'll just be watching the tank turn to a jungle. I can say that even though my 55 is co2 injected and high light, the plants in here show better color. Even my crypt parva didn't melt any from the move.
