10g lighting question

Any brand will do. I had to get mine at lowes because Home Depot didn't have them. DAYLIGHT 13 watt 6500k spiral CFL bulbs.

I had CFLs on my 10 gallon before. They were alright but they got very hot and the open top with the slim fugeray looks alot better then the bulky black hood that held the CFLS.

Agreed, the led fixtures are definitely more attractive, but the CFLs are definitely more affordable...

Yeah I was about to get a Ray 2 or FugeRay but then I went online and remembered how much they cost...lol...and the CFLs seem to be the most economically friendly...plus it's not like this is a show tank or anything but once I have some more money I may end up getting a more appealing fixture-IF I find the CFLs aren't getting what I want

I dont remember the fugeray being very expensive on amazon. I wish i would have spent the extra $ though and gotten the ray 2. But i just dont have that kind of money

I use a lot of CFLs, they are nice and cheap. You can always go back later and put in higher wattage bulbs also if you want a little more oomph.
