I have never been able to grow a Java fern or sword or anubias in my life. I have tried so hard. But I have never lost a s depend or r indicate or something that is supposed to not be able to grow in my conditions.I feel you heck09. Your lucky your parents are so thoughtful.

No problems with Anubis or swords for me, just Java fern, and yea I am
Me and my dad always go all out on birthdays for each other

So stocking plans right now

4-5 ottos
5 cories of some sort(smallest I can find probably)

And thinking as large a school I can get of some neon or ember tetras
Maybe some guppies, want to stick with the smaller fish for this one so I'm not sure

And some ghost shrimp

Your stocking sounds good, but I'd avoid the guppies. They can breed like crazy.

Big update time:
As a few of you know I decided the 25 tall planted tank experience needed to come to an end

I was young, brash, and didn't listen when others said it would be very difficult

And I got to thinking, I have a 29 cycled, why not move everything over there

So that's what I did today

Plant wise the ones in the 25 were in rough shape, I washed them off good and saved as many leaves as I could

Incidentally my swords are much smaller now, the biggest is probably 80% smaller than it was

The smaller sword could have much more saved

I also picked up some water wisteria and ludwiga for the first time

The stock list as of right now is much different than originally planned

1 x angelfish (probably not going to stay but I rescued him from a neighbors 10g)

2 x German blue ram (favorite fish it will definitely stay

6 x red skirt tetra

5 x peppered Cory

1 x baby sailfin pleco(another rescue)

Any suggestions on further stock options? I'm at a loss from where I'm at now

Nothing new right now unfortunately, dad already got the 24/7 for me and is just hanging it over my head that I don't get it till I come home for Christmas,

The only other thing that has been going on with the tank is that the baby African yellow lab I believe it is has survived a tank draining and a month and a half in an empty tank before I saw it and started feeding it, and now it's about 3/4 inch and too fast for me to catch

Need to get that guy out before he starts terrorizing everything else in there

Nope I'll have to look up how to set one of those up

Cut the top 1/3 of a bottle off, flip it around, stick it back in the bottom 2/3, and bait it.

Update: got some new plants from fishinthusiast and unstopabullfish put in (great doing business with those two btw). But here is the update photo

My wisteria has been failing on me, not sure why

So did the blyxia

Think I should just stick to crypts as I can't seem to mess those up

Added a few more crypts from my ten(now that it's dirted it's pretty much a crypt grow out facility)

And here is the fts
