Posted in a different section and got no response so..

This is my 3 gallon picotope I plan on planting using a finnex clip on.

I'm using manten stone and fluval stratum (mostly because I couldn't find any eco complete here, and flourite was to expensive).

Just wanted some fellow aquascaper criticism. So let me know what you think.

I don't know much about aquascaping either but I love the rock work you've got. Bottom pic looks great!

Will you be doing shrimp in this? I'm excited to see how it turns out!

Thanks guys!

This will most likely be a shrimp tank, maybe ill add 3 or 4 paskai rainbow or white clouds after its fairly setup.

For plants it will be E. vivipara in the back right, B. Japonica, S. Repens in forground, maybe some flame moss down the hills between rocks. Still trying to figure that out. I have a fair bit to work with. Ill attach a picture of other rocks i have.

:)

Gorgeous pieces! Are you able to find them locally? I've not seen manten at my LFS. Can't wait to see this planted!

No, we have **** here for local selection. I buy most of my stuff online. I got these through ebay from the UK.. wasnt cheap :/

Ouch...I imagine the shipping was rough on the wallet too. Sure looks like is going to be worth it though!

I think maybe the front is a bit too... Flat? For something like this, idk.

Did you change the substrate? I think it works with the lighter color. Kind of reminds me of rocky bluffs.

I like this more. But idk what I'd even use for plants.....
Yes, this is just for an idea, just messing around with it right now.

You can always look at Dry Start Method is you want to deal with a long wait and tiny plants like baby tears. Are you planning to add CO2 ?

For any plant to truly form a carpet co2 is necessary. Many mosses can for a carpet though. I have found Java moss grows fast and very randomly making a visually appealing carpet effect.

And longer pieces break off and find their way into the strangest places in the tank! :)

I'm not planning on co2, only excel.
