I have a 55 gallon tank with co2 an Eheim Ecco pro 80 and a Coralife quad lighting system! I really want to stop algae from growing and as soon as I got the bug light fixture the algae started growing rapidly! What to do?ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1421991186.825840.jpg

How long is the photoperiod? Also, what bulbs are in the quad? The wall looks so blue, is that blue spectrum getting in the tank as well? Doesn't look that way, but hard to tell. And... what's up with the bug light? Confused.

I have 2 10000 k, 1 actinic and 1 colormax! I have them on for 12 hours a day along with the co2!!

I think you should lower your photoperiod to 8 hours a day and if the algae still grows keep lowering by the half hour. do you have a timer that allows split intervals breaking up the photoperiod into two sections is a good idea too
