With an 18watt CF over a 6 gallon tank, you're really not going to have a lot of light over the tank. It's probably going to fall somewhere between low and medium lighting.

Personally I wouldn't go with a plant package where they give you absolutely no idea what plants you are going to get. There's no guarentee that they'll pick plants you like or are truely appropriate for your tank. You really aren't going to end up spending that much more money to actually pick out your own plants, and don't forget that you can get some great deals in our barter/trade forum.

The Cherry Fire Shrimp look very similar to Cherry Red Shrimp, but it sounds like they live a lot longer and get a bit larger. This means that they're probably not the same shrimp. As such I'd probably recommend going with the Amano Shrimp since they're a relatively good beginner shrimp, good algae eater, and they're adult size is larger decreasing the odds that they'll get eaten.

The livestock is fine, I'll defer to Purrbox regarding the shrimp I would go to Aquabid and seek out lowcoaster. He can put together the exact number and species you want at an affordable price.

6 gallons seems far to small for rummynose tetras, I think. They like to run free.....

Ok, I ordered:

Crypt Parva
Dwarf Hairgrass
Narrow Leaf Java Fern

I ordered from Lowcoaster on aquabid.com - we have been e-mailing for a couple of days now to figure out the best plants for me. He is amazing and I recommend him highly (received his name from JChillin - thank Bill!). The plants should be here sometime next week! Woot!
