Hi everyone, New to the site, have 3 established tanks, 2- 29 gal 1-55 gal all FW, generic fish like tetras, angels corys, algae eaters, danios, etc. Want to incorporate live plants that are hardy, easy to care for( good for beginner like me). I tried getting plants at local petsmart before and got such an infestation of snails I had to tear down and clean whole tank, don't want that again. My tanks all have small size gravel, but not plant substrate, will anything do Ok in this?, Should I combine 2 tanks and start one planted with all new stuff, any advice appreciated.:n00b:

If you have stock lighting, you prob will need something different for those tanks.

Then easy plants are Java Ferns, Java Moss, Crypts, Anubias, ect..
