So Ive had a 2.5 gal for about 3 months now and i havent put anything there as after it was done cycling (I waited about 1 and half months) I noticed algae and bought some algae remover that weekend. The algae definitely has been dying, about 95% is all white but its just staying there. Ive had to try and painstakingly remove it from my plants by hand. Would shrimp be a good solution or do they not eat up enough algae? If not what should i do? Start over? Its pretty nasty so Im all ears but id prefer not to start again. 1521180113332.jpg

Check to see if the algae remover that you used contains copper. If it did you may have trouble with shrimp now.
