Hi all -

I have a 5.5g lightly planted tank. It is currently nearing the end of a fish-less cycle.

Plants:
2 wisteria
3 narrow leaf java fern
1 small anubias
1 marimo moss ball

I use Seachem's Flourish once a week and Seachem's Excel 0.5mL once a day.

I'm using the aqueon 50/50 light (fluorescent, 10w; my tank is only 8" deep). Should I be doing anything differently? My plants look great; even the slow growing anubias has had a baby :)

The java fern are growing and the wisteria is reaching for the light. (That little dude is hungry).

Should I be doing anything more for them? I figured you guys were the experts.

Sounds good to me! I have higher light needing plants and I only use Flourish and root tabs when I remember

You are kicking butt with this tank! And everything sounds good! I use an app called aquaPlanner Pro and it sets reminders for me about supplement dosing, water changes, media changes, the whole nine yards! Worth the buck or two investment to make sure I don't forget or double dose!

Im thinking about getting the app to, you def think its worth it??

In Soviet Russia iPhone You!!

I love the app. The aquaPlanner Pro is a small investment that has been the best tool for my bigger tank. I'm the type that loves lists, notes and is very organized. This app is heaven-sent!

I can keep track of livestock, keep notes on anything, have an at-hand list of my equipment, get reminders for all dosing and changes, keep track of water parameters... The list goes on. And, it can do this for more than one tank.

Do it. Spend some time playing around with it and it will likely become a go-to for your tank health!!
