just cut them off, if they have developed roots they will be fine.

I always waited until they had roots about an inch or longer before cutting them. Often, I would have 3 or 4 baby plants on each stem. Once they've got roots, as jetajockey said, plant them and they'll grow. Don't forget the root tabs under them

Is it better to have the root tab directly under the plant, or is it fine just next to it?
