anacharis

i have 1 anacharis in my tank now , are live plants better for ur tank then plastic plants , are they beneficial to the tank

also will the chiclids eat the anacharis and should i get more of them for my tank and what types of plants?

sorry im new to fish tanks

Live plants will produce oxygen for your fishes to breathe. They display hiding places for your fish and are kind of a small biofilter for the tank, since they absorb nutrients to grow. These nutrients are produced by fishpoop, leftover food, etc.

That means you will have a much better water quality.

On the whole, they won't be eaten. My angels will nip at the leaves if it's floating but leave it alone if it's buried in the substrate. I don't know why.
