Anubias Hastifolia Emsersed or submerged?

Does anyone have experience with anubias hastafolia? I'm being told that it's only truely a emersed-grown plant and that it will eventually die if fully submerged. Being an anubias specie, I'm not sure this is accurate.

Comments?

Jchillin hears surf in the shell
The only thing I've ever heard is that it will do better if emersed. I've never had one personally so I could not give specific results.

i once saw anubias described as such slow growers, they don't seem to realise that they're underwater. if that's true, then i would imagine it would be fine. but, of course, it's only a saying...
