How do I propagate this? Where do I cut?

Is that a flower? Looks very nice. I was told to cut at the nodes where the stem/rhizome turns or changes.

I'm scared I will kill it. Does kind of ale sense though. Yes it's a flower. It has grown an opened up in about 2 weeks after the last one died.

That's cool. I have only cut a few and they were very large with obvious places to cut.
