Anubius

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an interest in aquariums or fish keeping!
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Take a piece of string, I prefer a green string that you would use to stitch with, and tie the Anubias to the wood. Make sure not to over exert the rhizome!

This is. It's not exactly roots, but it's not the stem.

Isn't the anubius supposed to be planted on some kind I droftwood

It doesn't have to be. It can be put on a rock, or floated above the substrate and allowed to grow roots into the substrate. The most important thing is that the rhizome( the part that meets the roots and leaf stems ) not be smothered by anything. Otherwise it will impede growth or worse, rot the rhizome and eventually kill the plant.
