Any DIY plant weight ideas?

I don't want to use the typical wraps on some smaller plants. Anyone out there use something homemade that I can try to weigh the plant down?

Wedging between rocks or pebbles
Cotton string and tieing them to dw or rocks.

Toothpicks or use the bottom most row of leaves (for stem plants) and bury them beneath the substrate. Stones or larger gravel pieces work too.

Small, light, thin, stainless steel washers. Something that doesn't rust and won't get lost.

Small fishing weights tied to the bottom of a plant works pretty well.
