Anyone using T-5 Lighting on their Freshwater Planted?

u should look for 2 ballast rated at 4X48". most ballast are load sensing so u dont need to worry about the size of bulb u use. just wire up 3 from each ballast at 30" and u are set. this will make the bulbs run cooler and therefor more efficientyl. still wouldnt hurt to have a fan on one side if u can do it.
 
lol sorry sabbott i was giving u info based on the first persons light requirements. that fixture would probaably be about the same cost as the DIY set up the only difference is that if u DIY then u would have the abilitly to go up to 4 buibs if u want to go high light or u can just run 2 for now. if u ever want to go to high light with the light u posted u would just simply have to buy another light.
 
OK thanks, I was a bit confused... But Ironically I also have a 72 bow that needs a light so your help might be the same for that...
