aqua-glo power-glo lamps from hagen

Any experience with aqua-glo or power-glo fluorescent tubes? Are they sufficient for plants? Hagen claims they are good for plant grow but they are 18,000K, seems a bit high for plants.

In my experience power-glo is to much but hagen do a life-glo bulb which is made for plants
