aquamedic power reactor problem

I know a few people on this site use this reactor.

http://cgi.ebay.com/CO2-REACTOR-M-CO...QQcmdZViewItem

I am having a problem with this reactor. It keeps filling completely up with air and then just bubbles the CO2 out the bottom when the regulator pushes a few bubbles up the line. I have cleaned out the powerhead, and it is pushing water through, but I can't figure out why this is malfunctioning like this. Has anybody else had this problem?

p.s. im bubbling about 1 to 2 per second from the bubble counter

I'm bubbling at 2-3 bubbles per second, and not having any problems with mine. But I have noticed that it does need to be opened and cleaned now and then. I open it up and let it soak a bit in bleach solution, and then rinse off well and set in a bucket with 4x Prime. Then put back together. But don't do this to the powerhead, just the reactor itself. Seems to slow down the algae buildup it gets.
