Where did you buy yours? i saw a set in petsolutions.com and they cost $35! WTF?! that's too much. Theres a 11" stainless scissors, tweezers, and a spatula. They look nice, but $35?!
Where can i buy cheaper ones, i was searching through ebay and couldn't find any. http://petsolutions.com/cgi-bin/cgii...64.310000&l=34 |

Very simple--if you can get supplies for your fish tank and any other place then a fish store, do so. For instance: many people here buy 50 pound bags of play sand from home depot at around $5 instead of $30 for 15 pounds. Just make sure a good dose of common sense is used, you don't want anything toxic in your tank.

I found a cheap tweezers here http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Produc...035&in_merch=1
for $7, but if you go to floridadriftwood.com they're selling individual tweezers and scissors for $17 Now all i need is a pair of long stainless scissors. |

The hardware store and the cooking store are 2 of my favorite places to shop for fishy stuff.
Also, if you are using fluorescent lights, an electrical supply house can be your best friend when it comes to buying bulbs, especially if you are willing to stock up and get a case.

Longhandled scissors are going to be hard to find, and they need to be very sharp, too, which means they need to be made of superior metal that will not rust and will stay sharp after use. My husband is a knife and blade expert and not all scissors are created equal, so that is why surgical and aquarium tools are so expensive. That is also why I don't own any!!

The Aquabotanic store has a nice set of tools for around $35. http://www.aquabotanic.com/abstore/index.html
I get my hands wet and use hair sizzors from target for $7.00

i've seen the set, but pretty expensive. I'll probably just stick with that long tweezers and look for a stainless scissors.
