It's not a head issue. In a closed loop, there is not head height because the loop opens up and closes at the same height. If you had a sump where there were two water levels, ie the tank and the sump, then the difference is the head height, but it's not applicable here.
Can you run it without the CO2 on? Can we get a picture of the entire thing set up and running (or not running if that causes the water works)? As far as problems, is it just that its leaking and the parts are popping off under pressure?
