Yes, I have had a stalk for over a year in my one tank. has'nt grown one bit. im sure i wasted my money on that one

Bamboo likes to grow it's roots in water, but will not do much completely submersed. I would not recommend it. Best-case, it won't completely rot.

I've had mine for over 2 years and they grow slowly, one has already reached the surface and it is touching my glass covers, as long as they do not rot why would you want them to grow to then trim? I took mines from my mothers set at home. lucky bamboos.
