Banana plant question

Another plant question
The banana plants I saw at my lfs have the banana roots alone no leaves poking out like it's suppose to have
If I buy them like this and put em in my tank will they still sprout leaves and grow healthy?

If the tubers (bananas) are still green, then they'll probably be ok. Sometimes the bulbs at the LFS aren't very good and the plants drop leaves. If the tubers are mushy or yellow, I wouldn't buy them.

Oh ok good to hear the ones I saw where green it also had a stump where the leaves should come out is this a good sign?
