Hey everyone i am doing a final build of my 10 gallon tank that ive been learning on for the last few years. I will be upgrading to a 26 gallon in the summer! Here is my current setup: current usa satellite +, aquatek paintball co2 with a GLA atomic diffusor, aquaclear HOB filter and eco complete substrate. I will be dosing PPS pro method. Plants and inhabitants are listed below. Hopefully this thread will help people with smaller advanced planted tanks since ive found small mistakes are amplified quickly. Feel free to post feed back and i will try to update weekly!

Flora:
Dwarf baby tears
Bacopa carolina
S. Repens
Crypt Undalta
Green cabomba
Rotola indica

Inhabitants
3 rummy nose tetras
2 neon tetras
1 bushel nose pleco
2 otos
1 american flag fish

I went with the regular, I may add a little more to it as I only have about 1.5in of substrate and it liked the 2in of flourite I had. Much more natural look than the flourite im just not a fan of the red clay.

Just received the plants!! Very pleased with how they look will post a pic after they are planted! Anyone have suggestions on how to plant potted hc to start a carpet??

bCarl, your tank is looking GOOOOOOOD!!! Congrats! You got the same dark blue background I have. I like it. Just wait till it all gets grown in. OS.

Plants dont look as green as when they came in most likely the emersed growth dieing off.

Heres my weekly update picture! Everything is growing nicely, about ready for my first trimming. The only complaint is ive had trouble getting the bacopa to stay planted. Feel free to add comments and suggestions!

LOL there is several species of carpeting plants or plants you can make to carpet.
There's not just one. There's dwarf baby tears, glossostigma, the marselias, dwarf hairgrass, micro swords, the list goes on. There are lots of places on Google where you can look up aquatic plants that can help you narrow your search. OS.

I have micro swords but it came in a small plastic "pot" and it is a good 1-1/5" above the gravel!

My carpeting plant is dwarf baby tears i have mixed feelings about it so far.
