is a 17w Hg rapid start light good for plants?? im tryna start a lil plant life only if that light is good for it n if so what plants can i use?? please help me out thanks.

What size tank? If it is your 30g in your 'my tanks' then that light is way to small to grow anything but maybe floating plants.
