I have been using plants as filters since I started the hobby six years ago. I have large vines and the plants are thriving.

This is a concept that has interested me for awhile, but I have a cat that eats my plants

Any suggestions? The only plants that I know are cat safe are

Spider plant
Money tree
Gerber daisy

He ate the flowers off of my daisy, and the spider plant rotted with its root in water

I found that Red Mangroves work. My dog avoids the plant so I can keep it as toxic as I want.
