So, my tank has been up for almost three months (maybe longer, time flies), and nitrates are always zero. Even if I feed a bunch. Plants all look "fine", but I'm guessing they could use some more nitrates.
I dose the following:
Glut 0.5mL/ga/day
Flourish 1mL/ga/every couple days
Phosphorus 1mL/ga/three-four days
Potassium 1mL/ga/week
Iron 1mL/ga/week
None of these contain nitrogenous molecules.
Temperature 79°F
pH 7.8
Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
Nitrate 0ppm
GH 14-15
KH 14-15
Plants:
Ludwigia repens (back left)
Reinecki something (back left, middle)
A fast growing stem with salmon colored leaves at the top (back right)
Slow growing stem with skinny leaves, bright green, bright pink at top (fat left)
Onion bulb plant (back left)
Short red lily (far right, mid)
Staurogyne repens (front, left)
Cardinalis something (front, right)
Ferns (not sure the type, moved onto driftwood, on floor in pic)
Echinodorus Atlansberg (back left)
Two small crypts, and an undulata that's growing like crazy under the shade of my large amazon sword (back middle).
Fish:
7 dwarf gourami
18 neon tetra
20'ish various danios
4 gbr's
7 platys
I think that's everything.
