Can java moss be braided and then planted into my sand? I want to make it look like a terrestrial plant.

If anything could stand the abuse it would be java moss.. try anchoring it to something to avoid burying, it will surely rot out that way.

Here's an idea! Know those crazy straws? Use that as a stem and wrap the moss. Insert something in the bottom to.keep it planted and upright in the substrate.

You could corkscrew these right down and use zip ties to fasten them together for a unique configuration. I'm excited to see how this comes out.

Something more malleable like a....a.....I don't know what can be in there that's 100% bendable.

What would you use for leaves on the stem?
