Am I doing something wrong? It's always breaking bits off ... Looks untidy at best and at worst it slows the filter and tangles on other plants, shading them enough to do damage unless I clean every day.
It was perfect for a long time, grew too fast in fact and started to lean over. I reduced iron because the water was getting tinted and the plants didn't seem to need it. Also had an episode of the filter slowing waaaaayyyy down for a day (fish were fine, ammo and nitrite were fine, but all the crypts disappeared overnight and show no sign of returning). It's possible the tank was getting less natural light in the room it's in ... I have since added light.
Medium light, adding seachem equilibrium to get GH of 4-5 ...
