Can I use marine coralife lights on my planted tank?

just change the bulbs out. The fixture itself is the same, the bulbs aren't. You need bulbs between 6500k and 10,000k color temp. Most sw bulbs are 12000k + and actinic, neither of which plants can use.
 
most saltwater fixtures have a 10,000k and actinic bulb. if you want to save money you can buy the 6700k "daylight" bulb and replace the actinic bulb with it. two 6700k , a 6700k aND COLORMAX COME STANDARD IN THE FRESHWATER FIXTURES, but i think a 6700k and your 10.000k would be great for plants aND CHEAPER BECAUSE YOU ARE ONLY BUYING ONE BULB .
