Strongly considering removing that slate shown in the turtle pic. Maybe lower the level of rocks and set a good looking driftwood on top to serve as a basking spot.

That sounds like a cool idea it will be like a turtles natural habitat climbing up on the driftwood

LFS had these vallisneria for sale so I bought some and planted it along the baxkground.

I removed that top slate and added 2 pieces of driftwood. Opened it up a bit and in think Leo will like the basking log better than the slate rock. Its kind of hard to see in these photos.

Quick flyby of the tank. Still need to add more fish, but I haven't calculated my max load yet. Not sure how the turtle will affect how many fish I can have just yet.
