I think these things are so cute. But what ARE they?




I also go some new dwarf anubias and something else. Not sure.

They are Algae, Claphadora to be exact.

Moss balls are algae and are really cool to keep!

They are algae but in a good way they help to fight the bad stuff for nutrients

My moss ball is falling apart.. not connected in the middle, anyone have any suggestions on how to get it to grow back together?

They form their ball shape from rolling around the river bed in the current, if they stay still for a while they start to flatten out, nothing bad, just flattening. If you want them to stay as a ball you need to introduce some current to the bottom of the tank so it rolls around occasionally.
