Hello! I don't remember where I heard this but is it true that if I have sand for substrate I can put clay in and it will provide nutrients for the plants? If this is true what kind of clay would I have to buy?

Yep, you heard right! Clay is very good for plants. Lots of people use clay from craft stores, like potting clay. You just have to make sure you don't get any with bad chemicals in it.

The clay addition is really only good for iron. Beyond that it doesnt add any additional nutrients.

Red clay is generally whats used.
