I want to make my own co2 system, but I'm not sure of what to use for a diffuser. I have a 45 gallon tank. Can anyone help me out?

Hi, you would probably need around 2 bottles of DIY co2 for the tank.(could be wrong about that) but one bottle wont suffice for sure. All glass diffusers need a specific pressure for co2 to be released from them(learned this the hard way haha) you could try a small piece of chopstick shoved in the airline tubing. I haven't tried this my self but know people who have. Hope that helped!

You have many options depending on what you have lying around the house. Search "DIY CO2 diffuser" or "DIY CO2 reactor" and you will get a massive amount of ideas.

What filter do you run? Some people insert the tubing into the intake of HOB filters and use the impeller of the filter to diffuse.
